jody hiceAthens Congressman Paul Broun is endorsing Jody Hice in next week's 10th District congressional runoff. Republican Broun made the announcement on Georgia's Morning News with Zoller & Bryant, heard locally on WGAU.

Hice, a minister from Barrow County, is in a July 22 runoff with Republican rival Mike Collins, a businessman and son of former Georgia Congressman Mac Collins. The winner of the runoff faces Athens attorney and Democrat Ken Dious in November. The winner of the general election replaces Broun in the U.S. House. Broun is leaving Congress after waging an unsuccessful campaign for a U.S. Senate seat.
